The
Mission of the PCGA is to assist the Philippine Coast Guard in promoting
safety of life and property at sea, protection of the marine environment
and such other humanitarian activities as may be directed by the
Commandant, PCG.

To
assist The Philippine Coast Guard in search and rescue.

To
promote safety in the operation of small boats.

To
promote the various functions of the PCG through voluntary information
and organization services.

To
promote environmental programs in the protection and preservation of
the marine resources.

To
promote the youth development program of the government.

Primary
Programs
(known as the
Six Cornerstones):
Programs
and activities of permanent or continuing nature are considered essential
and fundamental to the operation of the PCGA although short term projects
may be conducted on a District or National basis.
